Only a few years ago, most researchers thought hawksbills had
been extirpated in the eastern Pacific Ocean, but the groundbreaking research and discoveries undertaken by ICAPO and its
partners have changed the conservation outlook for this imperiled population.
The goal of this
website is to raise awareness regarding the plight of hawksbills in the eastern Pacific and inspire individuals and organizations
to assist in conservation and recovery efforts.
