Why I like being a member of ICAPO: I love being part of a network dedicated to the conservation and study of the hawksbill turtle, because being part of a group of numerous institutions, scientists and conservationists gives me the opportunity to learn from them and at the same time to share my own experiences. This allows me to obtain a better understanding of the constraints and opportunities available for future management of this important species on a global scale. I think it is very important to notice that the conservation effort conducted in our region (the eastern Pacific) is a piece of a larger puzzle and that we are working together for the same objective.
